Fugro Chance Inc. (Chance), as a part of the Fugro Group of companies, operates a global network of over 100 strategically sited DGPS reference stations. Utilizing multiple commercial satellites, Fugro broadcasts highly accurate positioning information, which is received by Fugro demodulators installed on vessels operating worldwide. With the introduction of Starfix.HP, Fugro provides the most accurate satellite delivered GPS augmentation service available in the commercial market. Positioning at the decimeter level is achievable in most regions. Skyfix.XP (also a decimeter service) and independent of the Fugro reference network is also available. Using both systems together provides the ultimate in high accuracy redundancy. Fugro's Wide Area Multiple Reference Differential GPS software packages, MRDGPS or MultiFix, perform in-depth QC of our data so ensuring total positioning confidence. To minimize the effects of solar cycles, Fugro provides the dual frequency DGPS service, ‘Starfix.Plus’. In equatorial regions, dGlonass is broadcast as an additional positioning aid.

Fugro is the industry leader in marine remote positioning services. The GEOTRACK/GUNTRACK system configuration comprises 1 to 24 remote buoy units, 1-3 VCU rack units and a PC running MRDGPS or Seadiff software. ProTrack Source positioning is also available for heavy-duty applications.
