Duties:
Job helps position oilfield infrastructure on the seabed in the Gulf of Mexico. Operate and assist the Party Chief in the operation of satellite, conventional and acoustic survey equipment interfaced to graphic computer systems for navigation purposes in the marine environment.
- Drive vehicles to and from office locations, docks and heliports.
- Load, unload and install equipment on vessels.
- Receive on-the-job training to perform duties of party chief on marine surveying crew.
- Set up, interface, test, and operate surface/sub-surface positioning equipment including DGPS, USBL and Long baseline acoustics, and bathymetric systems, in support of marine construction, as built and bathymetric surveys aboard vessels.
- Interact with clients on site.
Requirements:
- Must be U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
- B.S. in Geomatics or A.S. in Survey Engineering Technology, or equivalent Land surveying experience offshore surveying, military and/or education.
- Good listening skills and the ability to implement instruction and give instructions to others.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
- MS Office skills, ability to quickly learn proprietary software and travel extensively.
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
- Pass Water Survival Training.
