This experience has also allowed us to build a database of mapping information based on the Gulf of Mexico.

Marine Construction Survey of Fugro Chance Inc., (Chance) is continually developing innovative survey methods and customized procedures for technically challenging deep-water construction projects. When requirements exceed traditional survey services, our senior surveyors and technicians use a combination of new and existing technology to fulfill engineering objectives.

Fugro Chance’s International Marine Division coordinates operations for business beyond the Gulf of Mexico. Services include pipelay support, structure installation, subsea infrastructure placement, and metrology.

DRONE is one the newest additions to the Chance line of software. This dynamic remotely operated navigation equipment provides clear navigation guidance for remote vessels in critical offshore operations. DRONE works in conjunction with STARFIX.Nav (Chance's graphic survey and navigation system).

Fugro has developed tightly coupled INS (Inertial Navigation System) solutions to address subsea positioning.

Encompassing extensive years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Fugro Chance Inc. offers specialized scanning sonar services through its "call-out" sector.

Fugro provides the REMUS autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) for shallow water operations with high-resolution sidescan sonar, bathymetry, and environmental monitoring capabilities."

The STARFIX Navigation Suite details the premier navigation and positioning system available from Chance. The system is comprised of three components: Nav - real-time navigation, display and data entry using GIS database engine, Seis - integrated navigation package interchangeable with Nav, specifically designed for hydrographic and seismic applications, OBS - Ocean Bottom Seismic module and processing system to work in conjunction with STARFIX.Nav.

STARFIX.3000LR is a proprietary software package developed by our parent company, Fugro. SeaSTAR has been designed for the typical marine navigator. Utilizing the RTCM correction data generated by the VBS (Virtual Base Station) position solution is optimized for the vessel's actual position.

Starfix-HP, Fugro's 'state-of-the-art' GPS augmentation system, brings decimeter level position accuracy to offshore operations, at ranges for beyond alternative high accuracy positioning systems such as Real-Time Kinematic GPS (RTK). Starfix-HP is the latest addition to the Starfix family of Differential GPS (DGPS) services operated by Fugro worldwide.

Offshore survey company Fugro Chance Inc. and mooring specialist Delmar Systems, Inc. have partnered to develop a new mooring position service called STARFIX.MOOR® to assist the rig-mover.

STARFIX.MRDGPS (Multi Reference Differential GPS). Quality parameters recommended by UKOOA, and all available DGPS data (from up to 12 individual reference stations) available on site are used to provide position information real time to the client.

STARFIX.NAV incorporates true GIS functionality, real-time positioning, and graphic display in a inclusive survey, monitoring, and calculations package. TERRAMODEL® is used as the graphics engine, with a multi-layered system for managing map objects. This allows for simultaneous tracking of an unlimited number of vessels while integrating valuable information from our proprietary database.
